Panama Travel
Now that you’re here, how to you get around Panama.
You’ll find getting around Panama to be extremely easy. You have your choice
of two domestic airlines, Aeroperlas and Turismo Aereo, both of which meet
US Federal Aviation standards.
Or you may prefer to rent a car so you can see the sights along the way,
stop when you want to stop. You’ll find all your old favorites,
Avis, Budget, Hertz, National, and Thrifty, located at most of the regional
airports as well as the primary city centers. Or lie back and leave the
driving to someone else on major route interurban Mercedes air-conditioned
buses featuring reclining seats and video.
Once you’ve arrived at where you want to be, taxis are another
option. You’ll probably share your ride with other passengers and
don’t be surprised that there isn’t a meter. Fixed rates are
available for popular destinations and you can bargain for alternate locales
... or you can rent a whole taxi for yourself by the hour or longer.
