What’s the weather like?

Most of Panama enjoys a tropical climate with average daytime temperatures of around 80 degrees, cooler in the evenings. Humidity runs about 70%. If you’re traveling to the mountains, expect temperatures in the 60’s during the day, and 50’s at night -- some places even have fire places. Long periods of rain are relatively rare ... more usual is a brief, but heavy, tropical downpour followed by bright sunshine. Though the topography varies greatly throughout the country, normally the drier season runs between December and April, while the rainier times are May to November.
